Filtered by:. Going through the input listings on the brick finder, the 4T65E controller needs to see the gear range switch. The 4L80E shares this switch with the 4L60E mounted on the gear select lever. The pin labels line up, as do the wire colours, between the 4T65E and 4L80E switches but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience or the logic tabels for the 4L80E range switch since I can't find it online, just a pinout, to see if they have the same logic structure between them.

Also if anyone has a used range switch and harness pig tail they'd be willing to sell I'd be tickled to get ahold of one, the local U-Pull-It yard doesn't have any and the other yards don't tend to want to sell things like that. Looks like when I get my hands on a switch I'll have to test it just to be sure and probably put a logic converter circiut into the project box with the solid state relay for solenoid B. Connect the electrical terminal and then test the new speed sensor by starting the engine. If the sensor is operating correctly the "Check Engine" light should no longer be illuminated. The TR sensor is a member of the starter control circuit and informs the TCM of the current gear selection. Use a high impedance 10 megohm digital multimeter to check voltage and resistance on the TR sensor.

Voltage should be present at this switch when the ignition switch is turned to the start position. With any other gear position other than Park or Neutral R, D, D1, D2the starter circuit is open, and voltage is prevented from engaging the starter motor.

Tests a Variable Resistor form of a TRS: a mechanic will use a multimeter to measure the amount of voltage the reference wire outputs.
